The programmers at Islands Multimedia have designed a software suite that replaces Microsoft Windows? desktop wallpaper. The idea was to create a visual experience similar to a screen saver but make it accessible to the user during the use of the computer. Islands Multimedia lead designer Larry Norager says, " screen savers are great but they only work when you don't! We wanted to create the same user experience that is offered by a screen saver but make it visible to the user while working on the computer in the form of multimedia desktop wallpaper."
The Aximion is the project developed to provide a 3D interface for Windows-like operation systems. It replaces ordinary 2D GUI Windows interface with a true 3D virtual interactive environment.
